These terms govern your use of JSON Formatter atautojsonviewer.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. The service
JSON Formatter is a free, browser-based tool for formatting, validating, minifying, viewing and converting JSON. It is provided as a static website; all processing happens in your own browser. No account is required and no fee is charged.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting infrastructure, or any connected system.
- Interfere with or disrupt the site, including by automated scraping, flooding or denial-of-service traffic.
- Reproduce, mirror or redistribute the site as a competing service while presenting it as your own.
- Remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trademark or attribution notices.
Automated or bulk access that places an unreasonable load on the hosting infrastructure may be blocked without notice.
3. Your content
You retain all rights to the JSON and other data you paste, type or load into the tool. We claim no ownership or licence over it and, as explained in ourPrivacy Policy, we never receive it — it is processed locally in your browser.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process the data you use with the tool, and for complying with any confidentiality obligations, employer policies or data protection laws that apply to it.
4. No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that formatting, validation, conversion or type generation output will be correct or suitable for any particular purpose.
Verify results before relying on them in production systems. Keep your own backups of any data that matters; the tool holds nothing for you.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, business or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the site — whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or any other legal theory, and even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use the site (which is zero) or USD 10.
6. Availability and changes to the service
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice or liability. Features may be added, changed or removed. We are under no obligation to maintain any particular feature or to provide support.
7. Intellectual property
The site's design, layout, text, graphics and source code are owned by JSON Formatter or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Third-party components — such as open-source libraries and web fonts — remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their own licences. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property right to you.
8. Third-party links and resources
The site links to and loads certain third-party resources, including the jsDelivr CDN for web fonts. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, availability, practices or terms.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms or of any applicable law.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always the one posted on this page, with its effective date shown above. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
11. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force. Together with the Privacy Policy, these terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the site.
